Rotavirus infections can be seen as part of other conditions, including:
- Kawasaki syndrome (a condition usually seen in children under fives years of age that affects the skin, lymph nodes, mouth, and throat)
- Reye's syndrome (a condition that can cause serious damage to the brain and liver)
- Aseptic meningitis
- Hemolytic uremic syndrome (a condition that can cause short-term kidney failure)
- Crohn's disease.
