Cholero

Were you looking for information about Cholera? Cholero is a common misspelling of cholera.

Cholera is an acute illness caused by a bacterial infection. It is characterized by diarrhea and is usually spread by eating food or drinking water that is contaminated with the Vibrio cholerae bacterium. Since there are advanced water and sanitation systems in the United States, cholera is not a major threat in this country. It is still very common, however, in developing countries. Without proper treatment, which involves antibiotics and fluid replacement, death can occur within hours.
